Reading Strategy

WALT: make connections on my prior knowledge

I learned: to make connections with the text

Here is a example of my learning: in the text it says they look like seeds, my connection is plants need seeds to grow.

Next time I will: use memories to compare with new information.

WALT:  kick a large ball


I learned: how to kick a large ball with my feet.


Here is a example of my learning: we had get a buddy and a ball and then we kick it to our buddy


Next time I will: kick the ball further  

Mosaic Art

WALT: create a mosaic picture using pastel and Indian ink.

I learned: to use chalk to break the picture into pieces and use colour effectively

Here is a example of my learning: we got a piece of chalk and drew shapes to match up then we had to colour the shapes with pastel.  

Next time I will: have less white spaces and colour in pastel darker.













 

Mihi

WALT:Introduce ourselves in Te Reo.

I learned how to say my Mihi correctly.

I achieved my goal because I can say were I'm from and

Tena Koutou no otautahi ahau

E waru aku tau

Next time I will try to say my mihi with out stopping

The phrase of the fortnight is

Ka taea ahau te haere ki te wharepaku
Can I go to the toilet

Work out unknown words mean

WALT:Work out unknown words mean.

I learned that Sherpa means people living on the border of Nepal.

I achieved my goal because I have thought about the word meaning.

Next time I will find harder words that I don't no what it means.

ANZAC Writing

 WALT Organise our ideas in order.
I learned about war and narratives.
I achieved my goal because I use a narrative structure and it is in order from start to finish.
Next time I will do more words in my word bank.        

It was a sunny day in turkey but not the best because it was muddy and wet but i was lucky because i was a chef and i had a tent .Because a solider from the turks was outside my tent with a gun had shot my friend who was in my tent cooking. I was so scared that i jumped out of my tent and hinded in the trenches but that was not the smartest idea.so I went

Boom the tent caught fire two of my friends died and I lost a finger

Cross Country

WALT run 1.5km for cross country 

I learned that at the start of the race to jog then at the end sprint. 

I achieved my goal because I ran the cross country. 

Next time I will try to get to the middle of the starting line. 

 

ANZAC WEEK TERM 2 WEEK 1

This week I have really enjoyed my diary entry because the words I used made me think that I was at war.

I would like to learn more about war and the Turks because I want to learn what they did in the WW1.
